What is the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties?
The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (sometimes shortened to SCHS) is the legal regulator that sets the guidelines for professionals practicing in KSA. They have a say in anything related to healthcare, including everything from setting standards below other boards of health care certification to regulating any drugs within the Kingdom. If you want to work as a doctor, you need to register with the SCFHS.
If you are looking to pursue a career in the medical field in Saudi Arabia, the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties is the best place to start. The SCFHS issues diplomas and credentials when students successfully complete necessary coursework and are then enrolled in a supervised program. The SCFHS also develops curriculums and oversees health-related programs that line up with the general education program.
What is a Mumaris Plus account and how does it work?
As a healthcare worker, you will need to get a work permit in the KSA. You can get the permit in one of two ways; either through having an existing license from your own country or from completing the necessary training programs.
To start your licensing process, create a profile on Mumaris Plus. This platform is the only one of its kind that handles all SCFHS services for healthcare providers
If you are registered on or have an SCFHS profile in our old Mumaris portal then you can request to make your current profile available to our updated system. You will need your SCFHS profile number or your National ID card/Iqamah information.
It’s easy to create a new account, but if you already have one, all you need to do is sign in, click on your forgotten password and fill it in!. The Mumaris Plus portal will send you a reset password link for you to log in with.
What to do if you can’t access your account
If you encounter any issues or problems using the portal, all you have to do is create a ticket on the Tawasul-Mumaris + page, previously known as ‘Tawasul.’ If you get locked out of your Mumaris Plus account, simply re-enter your credentials and your account will be reinstated. If you were suspended from your account and want to get back in, please wait for 15 minutes.

If you have a non-Saudi degree, your credentials need to be verified before we can register it with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
