WHAT IS THE SAUDI COMMISSION FOR HEALTH SPECIALTIES

The Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) is a scientific body founded by virtue of the Royal Decree No.M/2 dated 06/02/1413H. (Corresponding to 05/08/1992G.), with headquarters located in Riyadh and six branches at Makkah AL Mukarramah area (Jeddah), the Eastern region (Al Khobar and Al Ahsaa), Assir area (Abha), Al Madinah Al Monowarah Area (Al Madinah Al Monowarah) and Al Qasim area (Buraidah).

The SCFHS has helped to establish modern, state-of-the-art healthcare institutions and has succeeded in attracting a well-qualified, diversified spectrum of personnel. With these recognized and accredited facilities, the Saudi physician can pursue training in all different medical specialties. Cognizant of the importance of an independent Saudi body that can prepare and supervise training programs and assesses trainees, the SCFHS is tasked with formulating proper standards and criteria for practicing and developing the health professions.

The commission aims at upgrading professional performance, developing skills that enrich scientific literature and properly apply knowledge in the various fields of health specialties. Some functions include approving and supervising professional health specialist programs; accrediting health institutions that provide training; supervising specialty exams and validating their results; certifying qualified professionals; encouraging health research and publication; holding conferences and symposia for the region’s health community; and setting criteria for practicing health professionals.

HOW LONG IS THE TURNAROUND TIME FOR THE Mumarisplus?

The time from submission of Application till the final verdict ranges from 24hrs to 1 week. Usually within this period there may be some back and forth between you (or any assisting agency) and the SCFHS on the stage of your Application. Requests could be made of your certain documents which are termed LOST OR MISSING DOCUMENTS. YOU HAVE TO SUPPLY RELEVANT AND APPROPRIATE DOCUMENT or else you might have to explain why such documents were being used. Sometimes, you could be asked to provide ADDITIONAL documents based on the earlier ones submitted.

ALWAYS be careful of the document and seemingly suggestive options and drop down you see on the website. You might be made to dig deeper to clear such documents or options. CAN MY APPLICATION BE REJECTED?

YES, Applications can be rejected if they fall short of the minimum requirements stipulated by the Saudi Commission for health Specialties.

Common reasons for rejection include:

  1. Wrong specialty combination
  2. Wrong document submission
  3. Failure to make payment as at when due
  4. Primary failure from your Dataflow verification

Please note there is difference between REJECTION and RETURN.

WHAT IS NEW Qualifications study

This is a mandatory instruction by the SCFHS TO the CANDIDATES to allow them have an in-depth study of their course of study or programme in a bid to populate them as an acceptable specialty of practice within the kingdom.  Here you will be required to supply several documents including your dissertation, transcript of academic records, supervisor letter, letter of completion of academic programme, etc. It can sometimes take up to 2-3months.

WHAT IS THE COST IMPLICATION?

This ranges from 600sar to 1800sar depending on your rank and specialty. The technician pays the least while Consultants are highest.?These fees are divided into Service & Application fees respectively. The payment mode is usually via SADAD or the VISA card. Usually an invoice containing the Biller ID and Code  is generated in order for you to make your payment.

HOW DO I GET MY SAUDI PROMETRIC ELIGIBILITY ID?

The Eligibility ID is provided by the Saudi Commission For Health Specialties and its your key to the Prometric Exam. Usually it will be sent by email to your inbox. Sometimes if such mails do not come in, you may need to check your dashboard in your SCFHS for the details. You need alongside the first 4 letters of your Surname to secure a seat at Prometric

WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY FOR SAUDI PROMETRIC EXAM?

1. Ensure you have had your DATAFLOW POSITIVE

2. Ensure you have completed your Registration on Mumarisplus

3. Ensure all the required fees by the SCFHS have been successfully paid

4. Ensure you have been appropriately classified

5. Ensure you have gotten your Eligibility Number

IS IT POSSIBLE TO PASS THE SAUDI LICENSING EXAMINATION AT ONCE?

Yes, its very possible. Many of our candidates have passed at once. You need to prepare for the exam by studying all relevant materials.
